LIFE BEFORE COVID
Before the pandemic, our family loved road trips and adventures. It has been our family goal, to travel at least once a year and explore new places. Our travel adventures has brought us to Bohol, Boracay, Cagayan de Oro, El Nido, Coron, Puerto Princesa and Baguio.
Me and my husband, planned this year (2020), to start our own couple travel adventure. We were supposed to visit Sydney last March-April. It was a bittersweet experience though... because my trip pushed through but because of the pandemic, my husband's trip was cancelled. It was supposedly our first out-of-the-country trip as a couple.
LIFE IN A SELF-IMPOSED LOCKDOWN
Ever since I arrived last April 2020, I have not gone out of our village. I only go out > to do brisk walking in the village, or buy at the village market. My husband is the one in charge of going out of the house to buy the necessities.
It was surreal, really, to be living like this. We terribly miss the trips, the fresh air, the long drives, the beach! But we know that we need to be cautious for our family's safety. We cannot let our guards down, just because we miss and we long to travel. I believe that it is WISE to wait.
The only thing that makes life bearable -- are the food trips that we do -- at home. When we crave for certain kinds of food, we just order online. Or the husband go out and order a take away.
AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT WE CRAVED FOR THIS WEEK:
Our favorite - subway sandwich! Buti na lang there's a new #SubwayPh promo.

TIPS ON HOW TO ENJOY FOOD FROM THE COMFORTS OF YOUR HOME
1. It is all about setting the mood. For our Subway experience, we decided to do a picnic set-up. We brought the outdoors in! So we can still picnic on the safe side! As a certified plantita, I loved the elements of my plant babies in the background.
2. Get comfy and relax. Setting up a few cushions and a favorite throw rug, will definitely give out that chill vibe that we all need. Especially for work at home people like us. This picnic idea breaks the monotony of associating the house now as an office!
3. The most important aspect of a home-picnic >> the food! We are such huge fans of Subway Steak and Cheese and Pulled Pork! We got our awesome sandwiches at the SM North Edsa, the Block.
Being at home during these days of pandemic - you just need to be creative and break away from the boring routine. All you need is a little imagination and good food to satisfy your cravings!
