Have you always wanted to spruce up a particular space in your house? Or perhaps, update your living or dining room into a modern one? Or know the latest trends when it comes to interior design?
If you said YES to these... well we are the same! With the holidays fast approaching, you might want to discover the secrets to home entertaining and updating your home spaces at the Shangri-La Plaza.
SHANG BY DESIGN AT THE GRAND ATRIUM
At
Shangri-La Plaza, shopping for the home takes on an immersive new
dimension. From August 21-25, mall guests can step inside curated home
entertaining concepts with Shang by Design at the Grand Atrium.
Three
specially commissioned themed vignettes are created using carefully selected items
from the Shang’s eclectic and impressive array of brands, capturing just how
much one can do with the mall’s home options.
With
Shang by Design, mall guests can step into three imagined worlds, learning from
each curator’s style decisions and getting inspiration for their own future
home engagements.
On
August 22, each curator behind the exhibit explains their creative vision, and
shares some secrets of successful home entertaining. Mia Borromeo, jet
setting editor of Philippine Tatler Homes, and fashion icon Linda Ley takes
guests through Moroccan Nights, an exotic set-up replete with
ornate prints and designs.
Interior designer and Town & Country contributor Rachelle Wenger presents a clever and chic way of combining textures and colors to build Eclectic Layers that add interest and anchor an enjoyable evening with guests.
Janna
Simpao, the editor-in-chief
of the popular bridal site Bride and Breakfast, shares her fluid His
and Hers theme, demonstrating a minimalist but stylish take on mixing
masculine and feminine elements that show a perfect balance of tasteful
elegance and resourcefulness.
When
it comes to entertaining guests at home, these stylish personalities know how
to create a time to remember. With their expert advice and smart decorating
tips, preparing for cocktail parties or family brunches no longer seem like
such daunting tasks.
WHAT MRS.WISE LEARNED
Listening to Ms. Rachelle, I learned a few tip on interior design.
1. Learn to juxtapose. You make a space interesting by mixing elements: tall and short... smooth and rough... old and new.
2. Train your eye to see cohesiveness in design. To do this, you must constantly observe trends, follow your favorite designers and see their design aesthetics.
3. It is ok to be eclectic, mix and match. You only need to find out what will make the look unified. In the case of Ms. Rachelle's "Eclectic Layers", the use of the mustard color seals the deal.
The Shang by Design vignettes, arranged by Hubilla Design Group, features design and furniture brands like Rustan’s, Design Pod, La Sedia, Ego Italiano, Furniture Republic, Bo Concept, Restoration, Ashley Fine Furniture, and Blims Fine Furniture,
Inspired
homeowners also enjoy a special sale on items from Restoration, Wellness
Concepts, La Sedia, Ego Italiano, Digital Walker, Luxeroom,
Sheridan, Design Pod, and Ogawa. With options for
different tastes, occasions, and needs, it’s no wonder Shang remains the top place
to be when decorating ideal living spaces.
