PRIME PINASARAP MOMENTS AT THE 2ND PRIME MOM CLUB WORKSHOP

FACT:  
I recently joined the Prime Mom Club of MegaPrime. Before they approved my membership, they asked me this question - what are the qualities of a Prime Mom. And my answer:  a Prime Mom is innovative, creative and money savvy.  

As a mother of two, I always try to work on these three characteristics. Being money savvy is easy. I was born kuripot hahaha!  Being creative also, is easy.  But being innovative is not. Its hard to think of new ways of dealing with everyday tasks. Like disciplining, or keeping your teens busy at home. And the biggest challenge -- being innovative in the kitchen. How do you make NEW recipes that your family will love. Or at least, make a few twists and innovation to ordinary recipes to make it interesting. 

This is one of the reasons why I joined the Prime Mom Club :)

MEGA PRIME HOLDS 2ND WORKSHOP FOR ASPIRING MOMPRENEURS

So when I got an invite to the 2nd Prime Mom Club's workshop, I was so excited. Because I know that its a chance to further enhance my kitchen knowledge, at the same time, the invite said, the workshop is geared towards MOMPRENEURS to learn about new business in time for the holidays. I said yes right away to this event, because it is a chance to learn something new!

CRAFTING 101 BY VIA PACHECO OF MAARTSY

First workshop was how to make Holiday trinkets. I have been the crafty mom, but age caught up with me, that now I am having a hard time looking at small pieces of materials without my glasses hahaha!  But that did not stop me from actively participating in the trinket making.  It was the first time that I used long nose pliers in manipulating those small rings to make the trinkets. MRSWISE TIP:  I suggest you don't cut your nails if you want to go into crafting. I had a hard time manipulating the jump rings and eyepins of the small chains because I cut my nails just before I went to the workshop LOL!

Mrs.Wise was just happy and grateful to have received an invite to the launch of Chris Urbano's cookbook, held at the Australian Ambassador's Residence.  

This foodie can't hide her excitement, to finally meet Chris Urbano of http://maputingcooking.com/, because I would love to hear him speak Filipino as he shares some of his loved Pinoy dishes.  Also, I love anything and everything Australian, so meeting the Ambassador herself, Ms. Amanda Gorely, is equally exciting!  And to top it all, who wouldn't love to have a taste of Chris' recipes, right? 

No reason to miss this event!  

FLY STRAIGHT TO THE BEACH WITH MRS.WISE AND AIRTRAV PH

As a family, we have always enjoyed travelling. We were very blessed with the opportunity to travel together to various Philippine destinations.  Hence, I gave our family this nickname -- #BackPackSquad!  Main goal, to travel light, to see the sights, one backpack at a time  :)

As the kids grow, they are now more focused on their life in school. And soon... in a year or two, they will be both in college. Whew!

But as a parent, our travels are deeply etched in my memory. Of how I will pack their "baby necessities" and dumping it inside our old yellow car... and sometimes travel means 10-12 hours on the road.  Or those times when we had to teach them how to pack smartly, and most importantly how to be always on schedule.

This is the most challenging part - schedule. We let them sleep early, for an early morning flight  (we always book the first flight).  That means, beating the two-hours-before-flight-we have-to-be-in-the-airport sked!  

Upon landing, we are saddled with the 45minutes to 2hours of land trip to reach our destination (so far, the most challenging is travelling to El Nido where we travelled 6 hours from Puerto Princesa to El Nido proper whew!)  This trip was also memorable, because the other family (the Bondocs) didn't make it to the flight, they were LATE, and had to purchase another set of tickets just to get to El Nido  (What a hassle!)

THIS IS OUR AIRTRAV.PH STORY:

We've always wanted to go to Puerto Galera. In fact, I have already researched how to get there. Our option: is to ride the bus going to Batangas Pier (roughly 2 hours depending on traffic), then ride the ferry/fastcat to Galera (1-1.5hours). So on the average, it will take 4 hours to get to Mindoro.

But we reached Puerto Galera in 45minutes. Yes, you have read it right. Just 45 minutes via AirTrav Ph.

We left the house in Quezon City at around 6am, reaching Realship Yachts at Manila Bay CCP Complex (where AirTravPh's Seaplane will take off) at exactly 7:10.  We had lots of time to spare before the Seaplane arrived. We were asked to sign a paper, showed them our ID's -- and just like that, everything was ready for the flight.  It was FAST and CONVENIENT.

Before boarding the seaplane, our pilot, Captain Joshua explained some safety measures we have to remember during the flight. We felt extra special on that day -- why? Because me and my hubby -- we had the plane all to ourselves. OMG!  It felt like we were being chartered on our own private plane, with a very nice pilot, to a dream beach destination. Which was pretty AWESOME!
