It was in July when relatives from Australia went home for a few weeks. And one weekend, we decided to head to Tiaong Quezon and experience Villa Escudero.
I have been hearing about this resort for a few years now. But because the falls is man-made, and there is no beach in the vicinity, never really thought of visiting.
This is a throwback post of what happened, when a family decide to go on a road trip, and just have fun! In the end, its not really the destination, but the excitement of reaching it, and the kulitan along the way!
THE FOOD TRIP:
A BUNCH OF "MALABONERS" KNOW THE SOUND OF PUTO. BUT NOTHING BEATS THE KAKANIN MULA SA MALABON |
GALIT SA CHICHARON |
WHEN YOU PASS BY BATANGAS, YOU GOTTA HAVE SOME LOMI |
REACHING VILLA ESCUDERO:
At the lobby, where we paid our entrance and lunch fees. I liked the rustic feel of the place. And the sago't gulaman offered.
For lunch, we need to get to the man-made falls. To get there... we had this awesome ride!
KALABAW ENCOUNTER WITH AIKO |
And for the titos and titas of Manila -- who didn't like to swim... we just enjoyed our coffee and shakes in this cozy cafe! At one point, we were just the only people in the cafe. It felt like... amin ang napakalaking bahay sa aming hacienda hahaha!
Even if the price is a bit steep by masa standards (php1600 per person), do visit Villa Escudero if you want to experience a relaxing day close to nature, dine by the waterfalls, or witness a cultural presentation of songs and dances. Too bad, due to time constrainsts, we didn't get to visit the museum. But there is always a next time :)
One thing is for sure, as I write this blog article. Time spent with family is worth every second :) Our family can be as crazy as we can be!
