Admittedly, I grew up as
an SB. Spoiled Brat! Because I am an only child, I am not exposed
to household chores when I was young.
Now that I am a mother of two, it is important for me to delegate chores
to my two teens. My belief (especially
because we don’t have a household help for since 2010), if your teens know how to operate a celphone or manipulate a computer,
why can’t they learn how to use the mop, vacuum and washing machine? Hehehe...
Everyday, after dinner, ate and bunso are in charge with washing the dishes. During weekends and on summer vacations, ALL
dishwashing chores are equally split into two.
Literally. With plates, mugs,
spoons and forks being counted, per piece. Oh my, my millenial kids :)
So you can imagine my
delight, when the team behind CUSINA natural antibacterial dishwashing liquid sent me a gift. I learned about this product when they
followed me on IG. It caught my interest
and I immediately researched on what the product has to offer.
CUSINA natural antibacterial dishwashing liquid gets rid of bacteria naturally by using a unique combination of Tea Tree and Eucalyptus. Tea Tree is an effective topical antibiotic against infections and diseases. Eucalyptus oil, on the other hand is a popular remedy for respiratory infections, and it can be taken orally, topically and aromatically to treat a myriad of ailments.
Admittedly, I cannot resist testing this product! I am a proud advocate of healthy green living... I am for anything natural and organic. Even my tea is organically produced. Turmeric and oregano that I personally planted :)
And oh.... there's more! Cusina does not only fight bacteria naturally, it uses also real fruit and plant extracts. So it smells more like my organic garden, than a harsh chemical.
This is it! I put the product into test -- for 7 straight days! And every single day... there is a positive comment from my teens.
DAY 1: It cleans very well. No need for me to comment, "bakit amoy ulam"?
DAY 2: It is not very foamy so it is not hard to rinse. My son takes a lot of time washing the dishes at night. But when he used Cusina, it took him just a few minutes. Happy ending for the both of us: I get to save on electricity and water :)
DAY 3: This is the day we had beef mechado for lunch. With just a small amount of Cusina, about the size of a 5-centavo coin, the "sebo" was gone.
DAY 4: On our fourth day, the teens have already tried all 3 variants, and all of them leave a clean refreshing smell on our dishes and utensils. And we were unanimous in our vote -- our top favorite was the Ginger Yuzu Peel. Since I am allergic to some cleaning products with harsh chemicals and artificial smell, Cusina didi not make me sneeze at all.
DAY 5: Practicality. It may be a bit pricey compared to my old brand, around 17 pesos difference. But hey... if we are going to save on water because it is easier to rinse, I will go for Cusina. I am Mrs.Wise after all --- practicality is the name of my game :)
DAY 6: My teens usually complain that their hands get dry after dishwashing. But this time, it wasn't a problem with Cusina. Gentle on hands --- checked!
DAY 7: I made a small experiment. Being an organic gardener, I am being pissed off with the aphids that flock my atis and guyabano produce. Based on research, one of the most effective solution to fight aphids is --- water and dishwashing liquid. I put a teaspoon of Cusina in a gallon of water, shake it a bit, and used it to wash out the aphids infestation. After some time, the aphids were gone. The guyabano and atis were not at all affected by the solution. They did not wither. Which only means one thing -- Cusina is truly made from natural ingredients :)
